Children's Privacy Notice

For parents

AudioVenture audiobooks are designed for children, but AudioVenture itself is sold to parents. Only adults can create an order, provide payment, and submit information about a child. This page explains how we handle children's information under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

What information about your child do we receive?

When you create an audiobook for your family, you give us, for each child:

First name — used in the audiobook so the story feels personal.
Age — used to calibrate vocabulary and content complexity.
Optional voice preference — boy / girl / any, used to assign a kid voice.
Optional pronunciation hint — if you want a name pronounced a specific way.
Optional personality — a preset (leader, dreamer, etc.) or a short note you write, used to shape dialogue.
Optional appearance — skin tone, hair color and type, eye color, and extras like glasses, used only to draw the cartoon.

We do not ask for or receive: last names, addresses, phone numbers, schools, photos, geolocation, or biometric data.

How is your child's information used?

To generate the script of your child's personalized audiobook.
To synthesize the audio with the correct names.
To produce the cartoon trip image (age, gender and appearance choices only — never names).
To tell you the audiobook is ready — the email's subject line includes your child's first name.
That's it.

We do not use your child's information for marketing, advertising, profiling, AI training, or any commercial purpose beyond making your audiobook.

Who sees your child's information?

The service providers listed in our Privacy Policy: Anthropic (story), Fish Audio (voices), OpenAI (cartoon and audio check), Resend (email), Inngest (production steps), Supabase (storage) and Vercel (hosting) — plus ElevenLabs, only if you use voice dictation. Each uses it to provide its service to us. Two can also use what they process to improve their own AI models under their standard terms: Fish Audio (the story text, which includes your child's first name) and ElevenLabs (dictation recordings).

We never share your child's name with anyone else — not marketers, not social networks, and not our page-view analytics, which never see names.

Your COPPA rights as a parent

Review — see exactly what information we have about your child.
Delete — request immediate deletion. We remove everything related to that child within 30 days.
Refuse further collection — stop adding data for that child. Past audiobooks remain unless you also request deletion.

To exercise any of these rights, email customerrelations@audioventure.cc from the email address used to place the order. We'll verify your identity and respond within 30 days.

Parental consent

By placing an order, you confirm that:

You are the parent or legal guardian of each child whose information you provide, OR you have the explicit consent of that child's parent or guardian.
You consent to our collection and use of the limited information listed above to produce the audiobook.
You understand the audio will be playable indefinitely via the magic-link URL we email you, and that you can request deletion at any time.

No accounts for kids

Children cannot create their own AudioVenture account, purchase an audiobook, or interact with the website beyond playing audio via a magic-link URL their parent provides. There is no chat feature, social feature, profile, or any way for a child to communicate with another user.
